Secure Digital (SD) is a non-volatile memory card format developed by the SD Card Association (SDA) for use in portable devices. In March 2003, SanDisk Corporation announced the introduction of the miniSD and demonstrated it at CeBIT 2003. The SDA adopted the miniSD card in 2003 as a small form factor extension to the SD card standard. Format size is 21.5 mm × 20 mm × 1.4 mm
